Good
Essential for health
Best to eat
Grab a bite
Yucks!
Bitter!
But . . .
Forcing myself
To gulp vegetables
On my plate
Day by day
Year by year
Live with such taste
But . . .
At my twelfth year
My tongue doesn’t taste
Bitter vegetables
The fresh leafs of vegetables
Reaps delicious taste
Rich feelings of enjoyment
Crushing vegetables with my teeth
Tasting every pieces of it passing by my tongue
Before entering the throat

Upon interacting with Y Prior, Be With Us, Sharmishtha Basu and Toni Andruikitas about their vegetables consumption experiences (at my Body & Stomach Needs poetry), it struck me to tap upon my younger age experiences in vegetables. It is a memorable event. Thanks to them for bringing out my memories. Wish you all have good days and thank you.
It reminds me, I need to eat more vegetables … I only eat junk food, and meat, and chocolate … Jej …
I like most vegetables but do different ways to enjoy them, in my preparation. I like some cold, with a dip, others I like cooked with butter, then others in a sauce… It helps sometimes to learn how the vegetable tastes best to the one who is eating them! I will reward myself with a treat if I don’t like a vegetable at all, but am at someone’s home and don’t wish to offend them! Smiles, Robin
I understand, Robin 🙂
