快 Speedy

Speedy eyes
Target a snack pack

Speedy brain
Signalling feet and hands
Pull a chair to open fridge
To gulp food

Speedy ears
Knowing whose footsteps
Knowing opened snacks packs

Speedy nose
Smelling
Delicious snacks

Speedy feet
Running towards
Delicious food

A pair of speedy hands and feet
Runs swiftly

Speedy hands
Snatch snack packs
From my hands

Speedy lips
Gulp snacks
Close tightly

Speedy mouth
Mince snacks
Ready to swallow

Speedy throat
Swallowing
Minced food

Speedy brain, hands and feet
Speedy body parts
Nobody in the house
Able to stop him
His fast motion

This poetry was triggered during conversation dinner with my husband. I shared how our 35 months son sneakily stealed a Milo drink packs from our snack box.

Clean Suck

Wash your hands

Wash hands

Suck finger

Clean hands
Suck finger
Suck thumb

This poetry seems sudden to me when I was explaining to my son to wash and clean his hands. He has the sudden urge to suck his thumb.

Sleeping Toddler

Hands and legs hit cot side
Hands and legs hit cot side again
Subsequently
So quiet
Let me see again
Silence and stillness,
However,
His buttock is raised up
His buttock is raised up more
Similar to a sleeping puppy

Hands and legs hit cot side
Hands and legs hit cot side again
Subsequently
So quiet
Let me see again
Silence and stillness,
However,
His legs are similar to a frog
Legs like a frog stance

Hands and legs hit cot side
Hands and legs hit cot side again
Subsequently
So quiet
Let me see again
Silence and stillness,
However,
Hands stance are similar to a champion
Hands stance are similar to New York statue
Hands stance are similar to good fortune cat

Such a funny sight.

Observing my toddler’s sleeping position, it is a point where he raised his butt reminded me of a sleeping puppy. Then I remembered the other sleeping positions.

Put the Knife Down!

In the room
Feet clasps key holder
Put your feet down!
Don’t be a koala.

Enter the room
Palms grab onto cosmetic container
Pull back your hands!
Put your hands down!

Walk into the kitchen
Small palm grabs a knife
Put the knife down!
Knife flies and plunges into the sink.

Walk into the kitchen again
Small palm grabs a knife
Put the knife down!
Knife flies and plunges into the sink.

It all started whenever my toddler uses both of his legs to clasp the mini-figurine tied to a key. A key that is plugged into my dad’s drawer. My mother let him does it. Upon entering my parents’ room and see him does so, I often respond, “把脚放下”.

Somehow on Tuesday night, those words sounded like, “把刀放下”. Other words popped out to fill in the blanks as my memory remembers his other dangerous actions. Taking my mother’s make up powder, broken make up lotion, and even grabbed a knife from inside the spoon and fork container and immediately throw it onto the floor. Everything he does was found out when I appear. All these happened before he turned two years old while he was with his grandmother. But she wasn’t like that when I was young. She loving yet firm. I just don’t understand her.
