Hide and Seek

Hiding
Hiding behind
Hiding behind the large pole.

My son and I see him
My son and I fast walk
To the large pole
His dad disappears
We are stunt!

Sudden
JUMP!
With an opened palm
With an opened mouth
My son
My son SHRIEKs in LAUGHTER.

When my husband and I were bringing our toddler home from the nearby mall, my husband did the above inspiration to play with our son and he was shocked.

Almost Knock

Standing behind
On the escalator
To prevent him
From falling
To cover him
From falling.
Suddenly
He STOPs to move forward
From the escalator.
Standing behind
On the escalator
Almost COLLIDE
Onto him!

My son was standing on the escalator beside his dad whereas I stood behind to protect him from behind. Unexpectedly, he refused to walk forward and my husband pulled him forward. Therefore, I almost knocked onto my son.

Beautiful Floor

Blinking floor
Glittering floor
Glistening floor
Shining floor
Floor of stars
The floor is filled with stars
The floor is filled with
Blinking stars
Glittering stars
Glistening stars
Shining stars.

Beautiful!

My toddler mentioned that the floor in the bank was glistening because the floor was poured with glistening powder.

Startling Moment

A speeding bicycle passes by
Very close to him
Whole body suddenly trembles
Heart missed a beat
Swiftly hugs me
Hug him back
Comforting
And
Continue
Our walk home.

As my husband, my son and I were on our way home, a cyclist passed by swiftly. It was a startling moment for my toddler because the bicycle passed by close to him. Poor baby boy. The events were expressed in poetry as stated above. Even I was shocked also.

Like A Dog

Half naked
After urine
Use one palm
Touches
Sticking
Urine smell to
His dad
Marking
His dad
Dad belongs to him

Like
A dog
Urinates to
The pole
A dog that
Urinates to
Lamp post
Marking
Its territory
Territory belongs to it.

This happened in the morning when my son wasn’t wearing his pants, only with his clothes on. Upon seeing his dad, he suddenly touched the lower part of his body then touches his hand onto his dad. He told me that our son was like a dog, which marks its territory with its urine.

Hungry Eyes At Goldfish vs Donut

Behind the aquarium
A pair of hungry eyes are looking
Looking at the swimming goldfish
Goldfish is fearful of the glowing eyes
The glowing eyes of a cat.
Goldfish is fearful of the saliva
The saliva from the cat’s mouth.

Waits at a box of donuts
Donut in pink to be cut
Cut in half for his
For his reward to finish lunch
To finish lunch quickly.
Waits a a box of donuts
Meowing with drooping saliva.

He reminds me
He looks like
A cat looking at the goldfish
Goldfish in the aquarium.

My son was very happy and claimed the promise to give him donut if he finished his lunch. Indeed, he quickly ate his lunch and sat on the chair to see his donut. The way he looked at the donuts reminded me of a cat looking at the goldfish. Then he meowed.
