Dorayaki in A Cake

Cakes in a cake
Piles of Dorayaki
Plentiful dorayaki cakes
In the picture
Of a cake
A birthday cake
Where you can see
Doraemon eats dorayaki
Piles of Dorayaki
Besides Doraemon
Who is eating happily.

This shows
A toddler who
Always enjoys eating
Always thinks of food
Always have appetite
Endless appetite
A black hole appetite.

He wanted Doraemon picture and choose Doraemon eats the piles of dorayaki. We booked and paid for the cake. We had a good laugh at home confirming of our son who loves to eat and thinking to eat all the time.

Black Hole Pond

Whirling black hole
Sucking in all stuff
Uncountable stuffs
Sucking in endlessly
An Infinite hole

Unending Appetite
Appetite to munch
Yoghurt, biscuits, juice, sweets
At the end of meal time
Munching endlessly
Swallowing endlessly
An infinite stomach
Black hole appetite.

Throw a worm into
A quiet pond
Fishes compete to gulp it
Buy and throw worms into
A quiet pond
Again fishes compete to gulp it
Gulping endlessly
An black hole pond

Feeding my toddler
Throwing worms to the fishes
Both give same reaction.

My toddler loves to eat. Whole day, he has the tendency to ask for sweets, biscuits, yoghurt, juice, and many other things. Though he loves to eat, he doesn’t look fat due to his outgoing personality and often uses up his energy to pull furniture and other does other things. The toys in his hand didn’t last long due to his strength.

Octopus Baby

Its circle mouth squirts inks
A black ink of liquid to fool
It escapes to protect itself.

Making a circle rounded mouth
Two fingers press cheeks to squirt water
Just for fun and play.

Octopus squirts and toddler squirts
One squirts black liquid, one squirts water
Either enemy’s face or washbasins.

I know the right word for the title is supposed to be ‘Baby Octopus’, but I choose the other way is to explain how octopus squirts and how a toddler squirts. The above stated event at the second paragraph happened during brushing teeth session. My helper and I had a good laugh at that sight. The third paragraph is the comparison between each squirt target.

Embarking On

Embarking on
A dangerous quest
A dangerous journey
Into
A dark heinous cave.

Outside the cave
Six black crows gawk
Standing on the wire pole
An ominous sign
Fear creeps in
Palm perspires
Racing heartbeats
Thumping heartbeats
Panic arise
Questioning
“Should I continue?”
“Should I enter?”

Seconds . . .
Minutes . . .
Hours . . .
Have passed.
Gathering courage
To enter
A dark heinous cave
Full of cobwebs
Full of bats
Full of booby traps.

Passing through
Those dangerous traps
And see
A bright and shiny
Gold coins.
Carefully and slowly
Execute the procedures
As stated in the book.

Then
Passing through
Those dangerous traps again.
Leaving the
Dark heinous cave
As the
Six black shiny crows
Standing
Looking at
The black passing shadow
The shadow of the
Anonymous man.

A dangerous quest
A dangerous journey into dungeon”. Upon writing it down, gradually other words also flowed out completing the blanks as the pictures in my mind moves.

Dig, dig, and dig.
Digging a deep pit.
Dig, dig, and dig.
Digging a deep hole.

This is the fourth series about my stray pet ‘Melvin’ who is mentioned in my previous poetry. One day, I happened to spot it digging the soil and poo outside my uncle’s house.

Locked Melvin

Soft and gentle footsteps
Yawns at the sight
At the sight of dark storeroom.
Climbing up to two boxes
It lays on the top box and
It closes its eyes dozily.
The door closes creakily.
But it doesn’t disturb it.

Few hours have passed
It wakes up
Climbs down
Jumping
Jumping hastily
As it controls its bladder.
Wailing
A SHARP WAILING!!
A WAILING MEOW!!

The door opens swiftly
Too late,
Too late.
It’s too late.
It is sitting on
A pool of urine
With a painful look.
With a relieved look.
Poor Melvin.

Everyone is alerted.
Everyone pities him.
One hugs and caresses him.
One wipes and mops its urine.
Poor Melvin.
Poor Melvin.

This is the third series about my stray pet ‘Melvin’ who is mentioned in my previous poetry. This time it is mentioned in the cat’s point of view. This case happened when nobody knew that Melvin came and entered the storeroom. Normally, we closed the storeroom’s door to prevent cockroaches and rats from making its nest.

Naughty Melvin

Scratch! Scratch!
Scratching wooden back door!
Scolded!
Looks guilty!
Splashes of water
Dodging to the left
Dodging to the right
Dodging splashes of water
And rushes out of the gate.
. . .
A few hours later,
His ears poke outside gate bar
Followed by
His face looks smiling
He shows his face courteously
Meowing
As if it apologizes.
We welcome him again
To play together.

I told you all about my stray pet ‘Melvin’ in my previous poetry. This time is his naughty actions.

Intro Melvin

A furry body lengthens
A furry body thins
As it passes through the gate
With a beautiful and graceful walk.

Eyeing an opened window
It jumps into it
Scratching the trash bag
Screeching the trash bag
With its sharp teeth
With its sharp paws
Searching hungrily for food.

Once the kitchen door opens,
It is alerted and
Jumps out of the window
With stolen food at its mouth.

It is . . .
Melvin!
A black and white furry cat.
A hungry stray cat.
Let’s welcome him.
My stray pet.
A cute pet.

Think of a pet, I only own a chick. The above mentioned stray cat was my stray pet, which stole food from my family’s trash bag. That was how my family got to know him. Gradually, we feed him cat food and it stopped stealing. After it finished the food, we play together happily. We named it ‘Melvin’. This happened eight years ago during our stay in my uncle’s house.
