Peace and Prioritization

Before I go out
Parents want to speak
My time is often disturbed

In a respectful tone in Christ’s strength
Speak out for the main point
Due to time issue

They understand and cooperate
Pointing their ways to prioritize family
Peace from Holy Spirit keep me still

Discernment enters
Knowing own weaknesses
Agree certain ways to prioritize

Overcommitment wearies the body
Rest are needed
To share God’s love to others

Own spirit glues to Lord Jesus
Dictating own soul and body
Body wearies and disrupt whole system

Now learning to say no
In order to reserve body energy
To live for Christ

Chronic migraine worsen lately
Pain throbs and tighten
Body cries in pain

I want to bring my son out with me. But he complains stomachache. After he consumes medication, he farts and feel better. Dad and mum tells me not to bring him out. If anything happens, my husband will blame me. Therefore, I ask my son whether to bring him out. Quietly, he and I submit to my parents. His silence shows his understanding of my difficulty. Then they tell me to come home earlier. Before I go out, they tell me to sit down and listen to them. Dad says that he and mum are different but he never stops mum from going to temple and bring the children there too. Mum advises me to care the family first. However, he complains my mum to always go out. However, he forgets that he always went out during younger days. She voices out her assumptions on me. Not to be like my business mentor. That pisses me off. Don’t always go for church activities. That also pisses me off. I thank God to be quiet. Then I speak out that I meet people to ask for job opportunities. They and their assumptions. In fact, I should have listened to God and stop the courtship. It’s better to listen to God.

Wish you all have good days and thank you.

A photo of old pencil sharpener inspires my friend to answer that she has the manual one. Manual is good because she feels it save her stationery cost and at the same time burn more energy. I kinda agree due to the society is depending more technologies that need electrical power. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

My 37 months toddler refused to eat vegetables in the midst of his lunch meal. A story sparks in my mind and slowly develops.

快 Speedy

Speedy eyes
Target a snack pack

Speedy brain
Signalling feet and hands
Pull a chair to open fridge
To gulp food

Speedy ears
Knowing whose footsteps
Knowing opened snacks packs

Speedy nose
Smelling
Delicious snacks

Speedy feet
Running towards
Delicious food

A pair of speedy hands and feet
Runs swiftly

Speedy hands
Snatch snack packs
From my hands

Speedy lips
Gulp snacks
Close tightly

Speedy mouth
Mince snacks
Ready to swallow

Speedy throat
Swallowing
Minced food

Speedy brain, hands and feet
Speedy body parts
Nobody in the house
Able to stop him
His fast motion

This poetry was triggered during conversation dinner with my husband. I shared how our 35 months son sneakily stealed a Milo drink packs from our snack box.

Cat, Dog & Baby Mouse

Cat
Waits at the mouse’s hole
Waiting to play with the mouse
Makes fun of the mouse
Poke and itch the mouse
Laughter covers the room
Shouts of help fill the house
Cat laughs at baby mouse’s demise

Dog
Labours the baby mouse
Smells the baby mouse
Cares the baby mouse
Plays with baby mouse
Laughter fills the house
Disciplines baby mouse
Guard baby mouse’s wrong actions
Learning as backbone mother

Mouse
Cute ears pop out
Makes fun of cat
Pokes and itch the cat
With a mischievous smile
Pulls the cat’s hairy legs as the cat changes clothing
Runs around the house
Jumps around the house
Taking off clothing to shower
Showing his sexy naked body with a pose
Misbehaviour turns to obedience once dog appears

The cat refers to my husband, dog refers to me, and baby mouse refers to my son. Influenced with the Tom & Jerry cartoon shown by his dad, he keeps on saying he is the mouse, his dad is the cat and I am the dog. Normally, his dad and I notice his cute pop out ears like a mouse’s ears. So I summed up everyone’s perspectives in this poetry. Thanks for reading my poetry and hope you all enjoy this.

Migraine Relapse

Muscle tightness
Tied to the max
Unbearable
Needles poking inside
My skull
Electric Shock inside
My skull

Pain runs through my body
Pain begins from shoulder-ache
Runs through my neck
Into the neurons of my brain
Pain in between my pelvic and thigh
Paralyze my whole body system
Onto my bed
Prevent me from work

Prevent me
From awake
Drowsiness sets in
Doze to dreamland

Upon waking up in the morning, my neck and shoulder pain led my migraine to paralyze my whole being. Thankfully my helper massaged my shoulder and I returned to sleep.

At night, I have been scratching my head to remember what I had done yesterday. Buying forty pieces of 250gsm papers and other drawing tools. Then I met my friend whose age is close to my mother’s age. Dragging myself to accompany her to Chinatown who asked me to do so. She wanted to go to Canada and was afraid of money changer people bully her. First, we scanned through buildings for cheap luggage locks. Next, we went to money changer. Finally, she decided to eat at the hawker centre. Glad to send her to the MRT station.

Carrying backpack with the drawing tools inside my bag. Left hand hold the papers. Passing by Blue Max video shop, I was attracted to buy four Veggie Tales DVDs and other anime DVDs and VCDs. My journey ended as I boarded bus home. Realizing my own fault for forcing myself to do more than I can do.

My heart is touched with Al’s response with his body once he leaves this world. He is Terry Shepherd’s brother who is under her care for his Parkinson disease. Her post can be viewed at http://terry1954.wordpress.com/2013/09/09/i-was-not-prepared/ . This poetry is dedicated to them as I put myself in Al’s shoes. Six years ago, I ever signed organ donation form if I pass away. Once our soul leaves our body, the body will either be cremated or buried. Rather than waste it away, why not use it to thank the Lord for this body and bless others’ lives.

Startling Moment

A speeding bicycle passes by
Very close to him
Whole body suddenly trembles
Heart missed a beat
Swiftly hugs me
Hug him back
Comforting
And
Continue
Our walk home.

Inspiration On: Wednesday, 20 March 2013 at 12:14am

As my husband, my son and I were on our way home, a cyclist passed by swiftly. It was a startling moment for my toddler because the bicycle passed by close to him. Poor baby boy. The events were expressed in poetry as stated above. Even I was shocked also.

As Sticky As

As sticky as a sticker
Sticky body with
Sticky hands
Sticky neck
It is
The leftover of
A dried perspiration.

As sticky as a glue
Sticking his body parts
Sticking his hands
Onto me
Onto his dad
So sticky like a glue
Such a pungent smell
Enough to faint you
With crossed eyes.

Frustration Button

Unbearable scattered stuffs
Is enough to
Push the frustration button
In me.
Once the button is pressed,
My mind and body synchronize
To tidy the messiness.

Inspiration On: Sunday, 10 February 2013 at 12:42am

Oh! Sometimes the remote control holder was messy caused by my family members had the tendency to drop anything into it such as pen, pencil, rubber, etc. Furthermore, my son’s stuffs were scattered in my room and even the living room.
