No Time

Rushing to complete tasks
No time for eating
Work and work
No time for rest
House and family responsibility
No time to relax

Buzzing mind in the midnight
No time to sleep
Busy writing down inspirations
Glued to poetry
Enjoying myself
But
Dozing off for a few hours
But
The clock sings to wake me up
Staggering brain
Jagged body
Sleepy in the morning
Drinking tea
Not enough time for myself
And the cycle continues
No time to relax

No time for myself?

No time for musing?

When everyone is asleep

Fighting against time?

多手 多手 多手的幼儿 虽然多手 忙碌的复印机 他很忙的 观察我 观察阿妈 观察爷爷 观察爸爸 观察佣人 然后仿照 非常有劲 接电话 搅拌蛋黄 摸播放机 摸电脑 摸笔 摸电视按钮 摸喷水 吻我屁股洞 开关冰箱 开关炉灶 开关风 爷爷推升 他也仿照不完美推升 虽然多手 他非常好奇 他是一个甜蜜幼儿 他是非常有劲帮手 他是有爱心的幼儿 爸爸不懂播放键 他马上按和解释 播放键是在那里。

This poetry began with, “多手 多手多手的幼儿” as I think of my son’s disquieted hands and fingers. Though he often touches things meant for adult, his curiosity makes him into a capable son. Take care of him is the most difficult tasks due to his active exploration and disquieted mouth full of, “Why?”

Living in an Internet era, I am considering whether to get a tablet and have 24 hours Internet connection. But I am worried that it will disrupt my family time. Then the above inspiration came drawn from Shakespeare’s Hamlet script that I had read before.
