Eat Vegetable

Good
Essential for health
Best to eat

Grab a bite
Yucks!
Bitter!
But . . .
Forcing myself
To gulp vegetables
On my plate

Day by day
Year by year
Live with such taste
But . . .
At my twelfth year
My tongue doesn’t taste
Bitter vegetables

The fresh leafs of vegetables
Reaps delicious taste
Rich feelings of enjoyment
Crushing vegetables with my teeth
Tasting every pieces of it passing by my tongue
Before entering the throat

Upon interacting with Y Prior, Be With Us, Sharmishtha Basu and Toni Andruikitas about their vegetables consumption experiences (at my Body & Stomach Needs poetry), it struck me to tap upon my younger age experiences in vegetables.  It is a memorable event. Thanks to them for bringing out my memories. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Hair to Bald

Days to grow a bunch of hair
But it only takes
A day to have a bald head

Thinking if my son’s hair is gone, his round head will look much rounder. This makes me laugh to myself and births out this poetry. This haiku (in progress) has been sitting for more than two weeks. I have been reading and referred to it again in order to connect it well. Wish you all have good days.

Slogging through the Midnight

Slogging through the midnight
Wishing to alter my sleeping habit
Only to realize
Determination alone isn’t enough
Strong will alone isn’t enough
Mind alone isn’t enough
Own plan will not prevail
Fatigue body in control
Render myself helpless
Entering the dream entrance
Exiting the dream world late morning
Changing sleeping habit fails

Slogging through the midnight
Wishing to alter my sleeping habit
Awaiting dawn
Leave my sleeping bed
Entering into an empty room
Switching on the light
Thinking poetry
Processing my thoughts
Writing poetry
Awaiting dawn
To pass the day sleepily
Possibly to sleep at 9 o’clock night

Inspiration On: Wednesday, 7 January 2014 from 12am to 3:41am

Hoping to change my unhealthy sleeping habit, I resolved to have a sleepless night in order to wake up early at 5am in the morning. Looking through the incomplete poetry to pass the midnight. Most attempts were failed due I fell asleep. This time I try again and see the result. The keyword “slogging through the night” helped me to begin this poetry.

This Is The Day of Valentine

The star is smiling saying goodbye to the morning.
Morning breeze is welcoming us to a beautiful world.

Beautiful scent from roses filled the garden;
Roses are blooming with hope.

Living brimming with hope for love.
Waiting in anticipation for the love we hope to receive or reciprocate.

This is the day of valentine
This is the day of love
This is the day of roses
To receive love from my lover.

After The End Of The Day

After the mid of the day
The sun wave goodbye
The moon takes over.

After the end of the day
The tidied table turns into
Messy table.
A table filled with toys.

After the end of the day
The neat floor turns into
Messy floor.
Floor covered with torn papers and toys.

After the end of the day
He needs to tidy his toys;
He needs to throw papers to recycle bin;
He brushes his teeth;
He changes to pyjamas;
He travels to a dream world
With a smile during sleep.

Day by Day

Day by day
Time flies very fast.
It seems just awhile only.

Day by day
I’m a grown up.
Day by day
I’m a graduate
Day by day
I got a job
Day by day
It’s time for me to get married
Day by day
Unknowingly, I’m pregnant
Just awhile already past nine months
A time to give birth
Day by day
My baby grows up.
From no voice to shout
From quiet becomes playful

Everything seems just a while for me.
Time flies so fast.
