Dark Jungle

Living in the jungle
Jungle of darkness
Prison of isolation
Rejected
Starving love
Beware of the lurking evil

Dark sharp pointed hands
Knock the door of minds
Possessing the hearts
Sowing seeds of darkness
Into the hearts and minds
Hatred breeds within

Bitter fruits bloom out
Out to lash innocent lives
Lives in dismay and destruction
More minds and hearts are
Smeared with questions and blood
Smeared with hurts and pains

An excruciating endless cycle
Are lives not precious?

While conversing on the phone about my friend’s plight who didn’t talk about her husband’s mother’s doings to her husband, this poetry birthed out about my friend and her mother in law. Though she can’t believe her mother in law has possessive mental problem.

Endowed mankind
Endowed with
A great emotional capacity
Blessed with
The ability to drop tears
To
Manage tremendous intense feelings

Children use crying naturally
Cries help them to
Learn to understand their communications
To support their use of tears for healing

Cries are communication tools
For babies
To indicate
Their needs to be met

More communication methods
Are used
As babies grow into toddlers
As toddlers to children
Words
Gestures
Tears
Are the communication ways

The tremendous
Emotional capacity
Will
Either
Help others
Or
Bring huge destruction
Bring tremendous chaos
Upon
Self and others
