Arid Wilderness

Living in the couch
Nothing in the nothingness
Arid wilderness is scorching
Scorching the love within
Resulting
Desert and dry hearts
Empty hearts
Craving and Wailing for love

This poetry began with the picture of wilderness birthing three lines of words. After referring to it again, more inspirations flowed out birthing out the final epic of the hurting people. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Ocean of Woe

Drifting aimlessly
On the vast ocean
Ocean of life’s troubles
Ocean of woes
Floating around sorrowfully
Nowhere to go
Wondering
Feeling lonely
Hoping to find
A destination
An island
Island of team-ship rather than competition

Passing by many islands
Many islands reject after squeezing me
Give! Give! Give!
All these drain enthusiasm in me
Wearing me out
Where is the island?
The island of mutual understanding and respect
Not the dead sea island

Where is the island?
The island where I can rest
The island of mutual understanding and respect
The island of truthfulness
The island of complementing mutual needs

Whenever failed attempts of finding a full time job after having a child for more than three years, I feel downcast. Am I drifting aimlessly in my job search? I wish to support my parents financially. Whenever there is time, I surf the Internet at home and reply to emails and comments due to financial restriction. Some bosses squeezed me and refused to pay me the little income for the work I have done. Making excuses and even empty promises. Only consider their own interests without considering employees’ needs. These really kill my enthusiasm in my work. Don’t I need to eat? Can’t I earn a living? Their motto is their own benefit. When they want to train me, they say beautiful words.

Among Empty Roll

Among the empty rolls cubicles
There lies only one full roll cubicle
Seeking relentlessly and found one

Before I bought groceries, I entered into the toilet. None of the cubicles have a tissue roll. Persistently, I looked around and found one roll of tissue. So I was reminded of finding a needle in the haystack.

Kick Empty Bucket

PAM!
Kicking the empty bucket
PAM!
BAM! BAM!
It falls over
As it
ROLL! ROLL!
And
ROLL! ROLL!

SCOLDING!
Afraid of grandma’s scolding
Grandma’s first scolding
WAIL!
Wail FeArFuLlY.

On his cot, he confesses
Confesses of his wrongdoings
Wrongdoings to me.
Slowly & gently, I explain
It is wrong
Wrong to kick the bucket
The empty bucket.
Don’t repeat it.
Nod, nod.
Nodding in agreement.
Learning his lesson.

Upon rushing home from the lecture performance, my son played with the recycled bucket in his grandma’s room during my shower. His grandma never scolds him and tends to spoil him with lots of things. The recycled empty bucket is to contain the air-conditioner leakage. Of course, my son was testing his grandma’s patience. Scolding occurs then afraid. Next day onwards, he stops doing it.
