Don’t Make the Era More and More

The article Don’t Make the Era More and More proves her point about today’s society is lacking family time with higher income. However, I disagree in the part that it allows the men to take advantage on women and vice versa. Marriage is unlike being happily ever after.

Era

Now is the
Era of machines
Era or technologies

Normal phone
Transform into
A smart phone

Normal television
Transform into
Internet television

Manual labours
Transform into
Robotic labours

Multiple office responsibilities
Are entrusted to
Fewer employees

Strong moral values
Decline into
Low moral values

Strong mentality
Decline into
Weak mentality

Who is in charge?
Technology dictates human?
Human is in control of technology?
Who is the slave?
Do inner core values or physical attributes reigns?
Decrease in employment rate?
Who will we account to at the end of our lives?

This poetry births out through observing and comparing olden days and current days. Terry Shepherd and Kenneth confirms this in their blogs – Do You Want to Voice Your Opinion? and The proposal ended it really. This is a very important questions we need to ask ourselves.

Technology Advancement

The rise of technology
People move lesser
The rise of machine era
The increase of sickness

Technology improvements
Machines replace manual work
Manual works are replaced by machines
Escalating unemployment
More staring at the computer monitor
Spectacle populations and generations are escalating
Increase of malware, spyware, virus, Trojan horse, phising, identity
theft and even credit card fraud

Life’s comfort increases
More dependence in machines
More reliance upon computer
More lazy people
Isolation increases
More psychotic generation

Robotic era
Do humans turn to slaves?
Or robot is the slave?
Who and which will be master and slave?

Upon pondering of computers replace the tedious manual photo processing work, staring at the computers does increase spectacle population. Mostly, those who do manual labour don’t wear spectacle.

This Era

In this computerized age
In this digital age
In this Internet era

Tweeting
Posting updates
Ring each other to talk
Type and click send

Immediate and effective
All are completed in a flash
Instant communication
With a tap of our finger

More information sharing
Move around Internet
Flying information
Waiting to be tapped

Can we live
Without Internet?
Are we more at rest?
Or craving for more?

When a question hit my head, I realised that I will draw more and read more books with music. The question was “What will you do without the Internet?”

To or Not To

To do or not to do
To buy or don’t buy
To queue or not to queue
To work or not to work
To get bored or don’t get bored
To get busy or don’t get busy
To decide or not
Stress or not stressed
That is the question
That is the dilemma
That is the contradiction
Which one is better?
Which one will we choose?

Living in an Internet era, I am considering whether to get a tablet and have 24 hours Internet connection. But I am worried that it will disrupt my family time. Then the above inspiration came drawn from Shakespeare’s Hamlet script that I had read before.
