Sudden Courage

Pretend not see
Someone who cheats my money
Persuaded me to sign contract to pay him
Playing my naivety

Only to realize
Useless to be fearful and runs away from
Such person

Crying from inside to
My Lord and Saviour
Seeking for help

Amazing courage to look at
That person in the eyes
And walk away

Marvel at the immediate response
To certain situation
The more I need the Lord in my weaknesses

I thank the Lord to hear my cry to Him because I see someone (who cheated my hard-earned money) from behind and pretend not to see him. Amazingly, there is an immediate courage towards him when I bump to him. I am surprised to look him at eyes and walk away.

Meeting a classmate. Glad to meet him after I coincide the one who cheated my money. My classmate explains to me how to tap on government funding. Then he encourages me in my confidence to nail down on the creative section strength I can focus on. He knows my business values. He also shares his experiences to complete his own projects. It is good to attend free workshop to complete own projects. Very true. I thank the Lord to have my classmate around. Phew. I am amazed how God let me focus on the real starting out creative people I coincide with.

Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Favourite About Spring Season

Attraction to spring time
Is the
Atmosphere and the beauty of resurrection

Favourite about spring time
Is the
Finest and fittest season of life

Trees brings forth fruits
Animals are well fed
Flowers’ buds grow as all its petals open up

Humans live in comfort
Without fearing hot and cold
Enjoy the harvest of agriculture

Daunt Flaunt Haunt Taunt

Haunted by the past
Daunted by the future
Taunted by those who know-it-all
Can’t stand those who flaunt arrogantly

Is life full of the haunted past pains?
Do future life is daunted with fear?
Why do we are taunted by others?
Who want to be flaunted?

No wonder the world is full of hurts.

Toni Andrukaitis’ email of concern helps me to work on my writing block. Her recent post What the heck Wednesday helps me to get up again. Flipping to my writing blocks, more inspiration comes through past experiences and my fear feelings of the future. Thank you, Toni, for your concern. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Dread Weighing Machine

Unlike normal girls
Unusual among the common girls
I have the tendency of
Avoiding weighing machine most of the time
Dreading of
Standing on the weighing machine

Standing on the weighing machine
Dreads me all the time
Insecure feeling sips in
Fearing escalating weight
Tearing me apart
That’s me

Recently, I begin to lose weight and look slimmer. As I recount my feelings, this poetry is birthed out with the last two lines of the first stanza. I hope all of you enjoy my poetry and to give me your comments and opinions.

Lost Heart

Rejection
Loneliness
Fear
Failure
Inflict pain
Into the
Abyss
Of our
Inner
Hearts
Souls
Core beings

Heart is
Lost in the maze
The maze of life

Though time heals the pain
Scar is etched forever
Forever reminding
Forever
Remind

The words “Rejection Loneliness Fear Failure” invited the feeling of pain. Then my mind wondered in astonishment to analyze such words and feelings.

Dave Cave

Where is Dave?
There in a cave

Dave is in the
Cave playing with bats

Bats swirl around Dave as their
Fats touch Dave’s skin

This chill Dave to freak out
Abruptly fill the cave with shriek

Randomly throws fruits
Messing the cave with star fruits

Bats dart towards the fallen fruits
One by one left Dave for star fruits

A lone ranger
Alone in the corner

Dave feels safe to
Save own life

Dash toward exit
Rush forward swiftly

Quickly return home
Gaspingly report to mother

Fearful of bats
Cave full of fruits

When I thought the name of “Dave”, it rhymes with “cave”. Then my imagination began to run wild.

Introvert’s Achilles Heels

“Public speaking”
“Presentation”
“Performance”
Brisk to the stage
Thump! Thump!
Heart beat increases rapidly
Lips pale out
Passing by the audio system
The audio system roars
A fierce chilling wind blows
Provokes primal fear
Sending chills into my spine

Standing on the stage
Mind goes blank
Voice turns to stutter
Feet glued onto the stage
Daunted by the listeners at auditorium
Daunted by rolling eyes to every utterances
Wobbly feet
Getting cold feet

Pause
Take a deep breath
Practice speech returns gradually
Speak out

Being an introvert, this is indeed my Achilles heel. I do tend to get cold feet on stage.

Stuck

Fear drives me
Driving me nuts
Driving me crazy

Run! Run! Run!
Running across the forest
Run! Run! Run!
Running across the bushes

Screech!!
Feet stop!
At the end of the
Cliff
There lies

An                  Valley

Infinite    Dark

deep

Jump?!
Jump into the valley?
Or
Be engulfed?
Be killed?
. . . . . . . . .

My thirty five months son was driving me to anger by his attitude and behaviour. Seems that my mother spoilt him too much. My relative’s six years old daughter spoke in a rude tone. My son likes her a lot so recently he copied such attitude. Oh! I’m in my wits end.

Unexpectedly, “Driving me nuts. Driving me crazy” carried me into the imagination of a young lady being chased in the forest then she was stuck at the cliff.

Embarking On

Embarking on
A dangerous quest
A dangerous journey
Into
A dark heinous cave.

Outside the cave
Six black crows gawk
Standing on the wire pole
An ominous sign
Fear creeps in
Palm perspires
Racing heartbeats
Thumping heartbeats
Panic arise
Questioning
“Should I continue?”
“Should I enter?”

Seconds . . .
Minutes . . .
Hours . . .
Have passed.
Gathering courage
To enter
A dark heinous cave
Full of cobwebs
Full of bats
Full of booby traps.

Passing through
Those dangerous traps
And see
A bright and shiny
Gold coins.
Carefully and slowly
Execute the procedures
As stated in the book.

Then
Passing through
Those dangerous traps again.
Leaving the
Dark heinous cave
As the
Six black shiny crows
Standing
Looking at
The black passing shadow
The shadow of the
Anonymous man.

It began with, “Embarking on
A dangerous quest
A dangerous journey into dungeon”. Upon writing it down, gradually other words also flowed out completing the blanks as the pictures in my mind moves.
