Recent Memories

Recent Memories erupts
Recent memories hurts much
A child’s cry etched deeply

“Not me!”
“Not me!”
“I’m not the one who kills the fish!”

“Not me!”
“Not me!”
“I’m not the one who kills the fish!”

“Daddy is the one who reduced the water!”
“I don’t kill the fish!”
“Not me!”

Out of fear
Of my husband’s false accusation to occur
I comfort him
Hugging him
I’ve seen the truth
The one who lays hands on his pet fish is
His dad
Can sense my son calms down
The Lord hears his cries

Strangely, I am reminded of the dream where my husband walks towards the coffin and stands besides it. However, the fear inside me is almost gone. Is God answering my prayer to take my life away after I fulfill my vow instead of Lih Shien? Why would God’s message spoke to me during my friend’s mother’s funeral wake keeps echoing? “Those who wants to die, can’t die. However, those who don’t want to die, will die.”

Worse Than Salted Fish

Washer >
Uh!
Such an awful puke smell
Worse than salted fish
That pair of black socks
Ended in net box socks
For a week
Sometimes more than a week
Oh no!
Its puke smell is
Worse than salted fish
Unbearable
My poor nose
But I have to endure
I should endure
To fulfill my responsibility
Months pass
A year pass

Me >
One day
Sniff! Sniff!
Salted fish?
Worse than salted fish
Searching its source
Following the puke smell
Leading me into the kitchen
In between kitchen and bathroom
Such an awful smell
Flying from the net box
For putting socks
A pair of black socks
Oh! It’s my husband’s socks

Washer >
Confess the low frequency to wash
A pair of my husband’s socks
Worse than salted fish

Me >
Should have told me earlier
Immediately tell my hubby to daily wash his
Pair of socks by putting into
That net box socks
But it fall into deaf ears
Conclude to helper to daily collect his socks
Two days pass by
One night explain the killing puke smell
Days pass by with daily socks collection
One day
He drops his own socks
Relieved

Finally, today is the first day my husband takes out his socks and drops it into its washing box. But my happiness was only last for one day.

The Secret

The wisp in the wallow
The way of fishes swim
The way of a fisherman
The secret of mankind
The pain residing in the heart
The secret of heart
The secret of pain

Do you know me?
Do you care about me?
Do you know me?
You don’t even know me
You don’t even care about me
The real me
Hiding behind the mask
Behind the smiling mask

A long hair lady sits at the opened window. Eyes glistened with tears. This picture came to my mind as I attempted to understand those who committed suicide. Words echoed in me, “The wisp in the wallow
Do you know me?
Do you know me?
You don’t even know me
The real me”. As I took this further, more words flowed out and echoed to me many times.

Black Hole Pond

Whirling black hole
Sucking in all stuff
Uncountable stuffs
Sucking in endlessly
An Infinite hole

Unending Appetite
Appetite to munch
Yoghurt, biscuits, juice, sweets
At the end of meal time
Munching endlessly
Swallowing endlessly
An infinite stomach
Black hole appetite.

Throw a worm into
A quiet pond
Fishes compete to gulp it
Buy and throw worms into
A quiet pond
Again fishes compete to gulp it
Gulping endlessly
An black hole pond

Feeding my toddler
Throwing worms to the fishes
Both give same reaction.

My toddler loves to eat. Whole day, he has the tendency to ask for sweets, biscuits, yoghurt, juice, and many other things. Though he loves to eat, he doesn’t look fat due to his outgoing personality and often uses up his energy to pull furniture and other does other things. The toys in his hand didn’t last long due to his strength.

Shopping Toddler Again

He grabs the handle
Then he pulls up
The shopping basket.

Grabbing and throw
A pack of vegetables
Into the shopping basket.

Picking up tea pack
Dropping into the basket.
Too heavy. . .
Pick and put it back.

Grabbing an apple
Sniff at it
Drop it into the basket.
Copying me when I smell oranges.

Picking up a box of biscuit
Throws it into the basket.

Leading his dad to fish section
Wanting to buy fishes,
No fishes.
Wanting crab, but
Afraid of it.

A pack of milk
A cute cow on it
Attracts him.
Too heavy!
He grabs it and
He is going to drop
Into his trolley’s basket.
I panicked, “Need to pay first!”
His dad puts it back.

While queuing for cashier
He drops in . . .
A box of ferrero Rocher chocolate.

Why? Why?
Why does he knows . . .
It is a chocolate?
Oh! The advertisement!

When my husband and I brought our toddler to the supermarket where I need to buy some groceries, our toddler gave us a surprise to lead the shopping.

Sneak Comparison

Sneak Comparison

Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Shining a tiny torchlight onto the floor
As I walk into the bathroom
Not wishing to disturb
The sleepers around me.
Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Here, I return to my bed.

Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Quietly, a thief breaks into a house
Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Quietly, a thief snatches a wallet
Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Quietly, a burglar snatches a bag
Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
Valuable stuff disappears.

Sneak . . . Sneak . . . Sneak . . .
A fish disappears from the plate
Abruptly, I peek into the kitchen
Long thin black tail wags happily
Leaving from the window
Then it disappears.
Oh! It is a black white cat!
But we gives him a warm welcome
With cat food, licking from our palm.
And he returns as a friend
And he returns as a playmate.
Fun to be with.

Suddenly, “sneak” spoke to me and reminded me of staying in my uncle’s house with my family. My family and I slept in the same room. So I need to sneak in order not to disturb their sleep. In other words, sneak is either used correctly or being abused for the selfish motive. Happosai in the Ranma 1/2 is a sneaky thief. Out of a sudden, I remembered a cat stealing food from the rubbish bin during my family’s stay at my uncle’s house before I purchase a house. Finally, the cat becomes our good friend knowing we care.
