Drag The Glue

Lizard or gecko?
Gecko or lizard?
Why are you
So STICKY to
The television?
So GLUED to
The mobile game?

Dragging the glue yourself
Holding your mobile
Dragging out of the glue on your
Bed with eyes glued
To your mobile game
Excusing yourself
Stuck in the middle of
Your strategy battle game.

Dragging yourself
Onto the dining table
On the dining table
Lizard turns into gecko
More glued to your
Strategy battle mobile game.

It is not easy to convince my husband to have dinner who is always glued to his game. Ever since the computer is spoilt, he stopped playing game. He begin to play games once he changes mobile phone into smart phone. Upon finding out he can play games, he is so glued to his mobile phone. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Looking For

The minute I left the room
Tap tap tap
Here comes the toddler
Like a magnet
Like a glue
Needing me to accompany him
To brush teeth
To play
To sleep

Knocking grandma’s room
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Knocking bathroom door
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Knocking my room
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Peeking into the kitchen
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”

Tap tap tap
Here comes the toddler
Like a magnet
Like a glue
Needing me to accompany him
To brush teeth
To play
To sleep

It has been a month for my 39 months toddler sticks like a glue to me to accompany him in everything he does. Therefore, such experience births this poetry and I missed my friends and wordpress friends.

Typing

Type! Type! Type!
Typing fingers
Fingers type onto every cube
Cubes labelled with letters
Letters on cubes
Cubes labelled with symbols
Symbols on cubes
Cubes arranged in a fashion
Glued onto
A piece of rectangle board

Oh I love the library. This picture inspiration came as I was reading wordpress comments and busy replying as I typed on the laptop keyboard. This began with, “type type type” and the remaining words flowed out upon revisit this twice.

Absent-Minded Mr. Rabbit

Mr. Rabbit
The Mr. Rabbit
Who is
Glued to the newspaper
Ended in
Glued onto the wet asphalt
And
STUCK!

Glued in talking to the rescuers
Ended in
Drowned
Into a
River.

Indeed
Stop!
Look!
Listen!
On the road
Walking on the road
Unless
You want
To be
The object of LaUgH!

While re-watching the DVD by Richard Scarry on Silly Stories with my son, the Absent-Minded Mr. Rabbit who is stuck on the new asphalt birthed this poetry. This began with, “Glued to the newspaper. Glued onto the wet cement” then realized that asphalt is the correct word instead of cement.

Sticky Butt & Glue Eyes

Glue at butt
Sticky butt
On the seat.
Like a gecko
Like a lizard
On the wall.

Sitting glued to the seat
Eyes glued to the monitor
Calling him to bath
The word
“Later, later, in a few minutes”
Minutes passed
Hours passed
Still
Sitting glued to the seat
Eyes glued to the monitor
Calling him to bath

Repeating the same process
Before the arrow points
To the end of the flowchart.

My husband enjoys playing computer games. He can play for quite sometime before we have a child. It took him so long to stand up to bath.

As Sticky As

As sticky as a sticker
Sticky body with
Sticky hands
Sticky neck
It is
The leftover of
A dried perspiration.

As sticky as a glue
Sticking his body parts
Sticking his hands
Onto me
Onto his dad
So sticky like a glue
Such a pungent smell
Enough to faint you
With crossed eyes.
