Beyond

Accident phone cable pulls out
Attempting to repair and replace
Useless attempts

Beyond repair
Beyond help
Beyond understanding scope

Seek my help
God blesses the work of my hands
The phone is alive again

Respond
Handle with care
Maintain well
Take good care

That scares him off
Choosing to let me handle those
Since young I have been seeking to understand

There are guests coming for the Cell Group Christmas party. I re-learn to welcome them again. When I am assigned as a group leader with four kids, I feel awkward. However, I learn to accept responsibility as a leader though reluctant. When it is too noisy, my ears can’t take it. It’s good they have a good time. My son is also having a good time.

SS chats with my son. He says he doesn’t like his dad. What? Do I overhear it correctly?

At night, my son is talking with his grandmother (dad’s side). I feel much happier to leave the room and drink detox tea in the kitchen. He moves his body a lot until pulling down the phone and its cable. So the communication is totally cut off. His dad scolds him for not listening and always pulling the cable. Then he attempts to repair it to no avail. The phone rings at my parents’ room. He chooses to tell my son to answer the phone than answering the phone himself. Immediately, he uses his mobile phone to call back and explain the situation.

My husband says that now he chooses to think openly. That makes him much happier. Life is short. Finally, he comes to such conclusion. Then he explains the phone cable issue. I look at it. He opens the phone cable box socket to let me see. No cables are cut off. I close the box off. Next I see the cable is pulled out. Scrutinize it closely. The red and blue is totally cut off. The cable is beyond repair. So I use the other cable for the printer fax machine as the replacement. It works perfectly. He says that he has tried it but it doesn’t work. Maybe he doesn’t plug the head deeply. Suddenly, I am reminded of my previous full time job working days. My two female employees were being bullied by the server. Whenever they switched it on, the server refused to switch on. However, when WC and/or I switched it on, it switched on out of fear. It was the joke and so true. Therefore, I joke with my husband that the cables dislike him and bully him due to his lack of understanding towards them. Then I joke more. Who ask him to bully me? That’s why the cables bully him back. He speaks out to let me handle all those. I respond to let him learn. And conclude to him, “handle with care and maintain well.” Because I remember him saying to throw rather than repair. I believe to maintain and repair.

Thanks for reading my poetry and hope this poetry minister and bless you.

Lock Cage

Cage me in
Lock me up
And I write more

No cage
To lock
I am guilty not to write

There are plethora of themes
To work on
To write on
But . . .
Everyone are demanding my
Attention

Upon realizing my writing time is when I feel calm and relaxed, I realized the importance of being alone. Being a mother with elderly and part time work really strangle my muse. When the house is quiet, hearing birds singing, and people to work together help to ease my mind and to write my muse. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Smelly Room

Pooooot!
Aircon BLOWS
Dad’s fart towards
The toddler!
Living in the smelly room
Until he pulls
His bolster to
Cover his nose
For a few minutes

The smell is gone
I enter the room
He complains to me
The smelly room
Caused by
His only dad
And calling me blessed
To be saved from the
Smelly fart

Here I am in the room
Pressing cold pack with
Great pressure
Creating
Fart sound-like
The little one presumes so
Only to realize
Pressurize old pack
But instantly
Pooooot!
Sorry, I fart
Poor little fella to
Cover his nose
with bolster again

My husband inquire
The need to
Switch on the
Air purifier again
Due to
The couple’s fart
Polluting the room

Drag The Glue

Lizard or gecko?
Gecko or lizard?
Why are you
So STICKY to
The television?
So GLUED to
The mobile game?

Dragging the glue yourself
Holding your mobile
Dragging out of the glue on your
Bed with eyes glued
To your mobile game
Excusing yourself
Stuck in the middle of
Your strategy battle game.

Dragging yourself
Onto the dining table
On the dining table
Lizard turns into gecko
More glued to your
Strategy battle mobile game.

It is not easy to convince my husband to have dinner who is always glued to his game. Ever since the computer is spoilt, he stopped playing game. He begin to play games once he changes mobile phone into smart phone. Upon finding out he can play games, he is so glued to his mobile phone. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Animal Wheel

Animal wheels with
Red giraffe, blue cow, yellow duck and white sheep
Soft toys are
Whirling around as the wind blows

In the night
The red giraffe jumps down
Onto the toddler
Tickles him
Play with him
The toddler giggles
As the giraffe giggles
A sweet dream

The wheel with many four animals soft toys are always under my son’s bed. He dreamed the giraffe soft toy jumped onto him and tickled his neck. He narrated it with his gestures and expressions wriggled in laughter. He misunderstood it as nightmare. Therefore, I explained to him it was a nice dream, not a nightmare. A nightmare involves in fearful feelings. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Dorayaki Chases

Eyes
Mouth
Hands
Legs
Erupt out of dorayaki

Noticing a toddler
With an evil hungry look
Dorayaki chases after him
He is startled
As it approaches him
STOP!!!
He shrieked

Dorayaki freezes
Abruptly, he
Gulps
Munches
The whole dorayaki

A Dorayaki chased after him and going to gulp him. Wriggling in fear, he shouted in fear, “STOP!!!” The Dorayaki froze. And the position reversed. It was his turn to eat and munch the frozen Dorayaki. This happened during midnight as my toddler cried in his sleep and shouted in his sleep, “STOP!!!” Then he calmed down and continued his sleep. His dad went near him as I was soundly asleep due to anti-depressants. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Animal Ride

Animal ride is where the
Fun of self control begins to run
Amok and kiss bountiful pre-dangers

Cling! Step on gas! Go!
Twist! Turn! Reckless zigzag! Thrilled with laughter.
Ride time ends and repeat!

Revised On: Friday, 15 August 2014 at 12:28pm

Bring my son with my husband to a nearby mall. There are animal rides. Our son is napping so we plan to give him a ride. We discuss this during dinner time. Upon waking up, our son is excited to play so he quickly finishes his meal. Therefore, he joyfully receives his reward bountifully. For the first time, he refuses me to sit behind him. So I walk behind following him running amok and almost crash onto shops. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Sleep Walking

T-shirt pulls upwards with wrinkles
Scratching all over body without tuck in
Causing wind enters into stomach

Stomach pain due to wind
Dances all over the stomach wall happily
Unless fart to eliminate pain

My dear 45 months toddler was sleeping, but he still could feel itchy and scratch himself. It was a very surprising discovery. Unconsciously, we still feel itchy during sleep even hot and cold. I am still questioning why my toddler feels itchy at night? Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Hair to Bald

Days to grow a bunch of hair
But it only takes
A day to have a bald head

Thinking if my son’s hair is gone, his round head will look much rounder. This makes me laugh to myself and births out this poetry. This haiku (in progress) has been sitting for more than two weeks. I have been reading and referred to it again in order to connect it well. Wish you all have good days.

Cat, Dog & Baby Mouse

Cat
Waits at the mouse’s hole
Waiting to play with the mouse
Makes fun of the mouse
Poke and itch the mouse
Laughter covers the room
Shouts of help fill the house
Cat laughs at baby mouse’s demise

Dog
Labours the baby mouse
Smells the baby mouse
Cares the baby mouse
Plays with baby mouse
Laughter fills the house
Disciplines baby mouse
Guard baby mouse’s wrong actions
Learning as backbone mother

Mouse
Cute ears pop out
Makes fun of cat
Pokes and itch the cat
With a mischievous smile
Pulls the cat’s hairy legs as the cat changes clothing
Runs around the house
Jumps around the house
Taking off clothing to shower
Showing his sexy naked body with a pose
Misbehaviour turns to obedience once dog appears

The cat refers to my husband, dog refers to me, and baby mouse refers to my son. Influenced with the Tom & Jerry cartoon shown by his dad, he keeps on saying he is the mouse, his dad is the cat and I am the dog. Normally, his dad and I notice his cute pop out ears like a mouse’s ears. So I summed up everyone’s perspectives in this poetry. Thanks for reading my poetry and hope you all enjoy this.
