Positive Image Feedback

First time in his life
Looking at me wearing
Tight skirt

Persist further for answers
Positive and good image feedback
Thanking my friends to change my image

Baffle me
Surprise me
Render me speechless

I’m thankful for my husband buys me a Bonia black white stripes purse. My son is the one who chooses the design. On the way back home to buy groceries, he smilingly asks me, “Why don’t you understand about lady’s stuffs?”

Though I don’t understand, I am still a girl,” is my immediate response.

At night, he comments that he sees my new image. It is his first time to see me wearing tight skirt. So I ask, “Is it a good thing?” “Okay,” is his reply. I probe further. He smiles and responds, “You look good in it. Thanks to your friends.”

Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Broken but Regained Hope

I
Vast sparkly waves of ocean
As the sun shines onto the ocean
Vastness of ocean increases more

II
Final beautiful sight in mind
Gradually sink into the bottom ocean seabed
Eyelids close, sealing own fate

III
Blur sight of a swimmer
Before losing consciousness in the ocean depth
Everyone flashes back in memories

IV
Awaking to the soothing music
Among two smiling patients on hospital beds
Hopes re-live in his heart

V
A man dressed in white
Listens to poured out woes and pats
When other patients go outdoor

VI
Encourages her to be strong
Sowing a strength to own beloved friend
In times of tumultuous life

VII
Seeds of love and care
Gradually buds forth in her broken heart
Living filled with hope again

This image had been appearing in my friend’s mind to part III so I expressed it in haiku and continues it.

Open Doors

Out of sudden
Open doors
Doors of opportunities
Are laid out
At my sight

Feeling lost
Analyse every door
Lost in confusion
Fear creeps in
Pray to the Lord
Seeking His guidance

All door close
Except one door
Glistening lights
Beaming out gradually
Out of that door
A pointing hand points into
That glistening door
Leading my path

A path I will be going
Without knowing this path
With my Lord’s protection and care
His rod and staff comfort me

As I was thinking of my career path, the first stanza’s image appeared in my mind. There have been so many companies are looking for a full-time employee. When I apply for another position according to my interest, fear crept in of many job confirmation replies. Later on, there was a notion to apply job and leave the rest to God. So I sent my resume to a few companies.

KiLL

Swords kill
Drugs kill
Words kill
Secrets kill
Truths kill
Fear kills
Earthquake kills
Mountain blast kills
Flood kills
Earthquake kills
Mountain blast kills
Hurricane kills
Strong Wind kills
Lightning kills
Low temperature kills
Freeze kills
High temperature kills
Magma kills

Kill physical bodies
Kill hearts
Kill minds
Kill into the core of beings
Kill feelings
Kill self-image
Kill self-confidence
Kill determination
Kill purpose of living.

Why can’t we take care
Take care the words
The words coming out
Coming out of our
Tongue and mouth?

Visualizers

I
In the visual artists’ vocabulary
Image is a language in their minds
To produce tangible visual artworks.

II
Visual people remember events through
Pictures, photos, mental snapshots through the eyes
Into the brain’s memory banks.

“Visual language” came to my mind when I want to express the above haiku. Slowly, the right words flowed out as I revised it the second time.
