In Between

Whole body loses strength
Brain dozes off
Stuck
In Between
Dream and reality
Unable to rise my body
Locked in the dream state

A last message remained in the dream
Once the whole message is
Conveyed
Consciousness regains
Eyes open wide
No strength and energy to move body
Awaiting time to regain strength

Living in between dream and reality
Dream or spiritual realm?
Reality or physical realm?
Living in between spiritual and physical world

While I sit on the sofa awaiting for my son going to shower, my brain doze off. My heart pumps harder. Body loses strength and eyes can’t open. I hears voices from the reality. My son calls me to sleep on bed. A postman. At the same time, I am in the dream. The house is calmly dark. I go to the kitchen where my husband talks to me. He says that he is flying to his hometown in November. I keep quiet. Only to wake up with body and hands losing strength. Migraine relapse worsens. Heart pumps faster. I feel there is a discrepancy between the month my husband goes to Sabah. The air ticket he booked is in December. Is it a death message? Normally, I don’t take nap. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

If Not For Jesus!

If not for Jesus, I would take matter into my hands!
If not for Jesus, I would leave you!
If not for my Lord, I would have commit suicide!
If not for my Lord, I would avoid you!
If not for my Saviour, I only give you one chance!
If not for my Saviour, I would lock my door!
If not for my God, I would bark!

Yet you barge into my fence of boundaries!
Yet you take me for granted!
Yet you enjoy hurting me more!
Your ACTIONS and WORDS are inconsistent!
You always beat around the bush!

What do you WANT from me?!
I feel sick of your arrogance!
You cause me to fall into the pit of depression!
Initially
You give me the joy of life
You share your faith in Jesus
You give me the hope of
“Two is better than one”
A close confidant

If not for Jesus, I would not trust you!
If not for my Lord, I would not forgive you!
If not for my Saviour, I would forsake you!
I have enough!

This is the sequel to Why Do You? poetry. You have read the previous journey of my poetry. My heart and trust are fully broken. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Lock Cage

Cage me in
Lock me up
And I write more

No cage
To lock
I am guilty not to write

There are plethora of themes
To work on
To write on
But . . .
Everyone are demanding my
Attention

Upon realizing my writing time is when I feel calm and relaxed, I realized the importance of being alone. Being a mother with elderly and part time work really strangle my muse. When the house is quiet, hearing birds singing, and people to work together help to ease my mind and to write my muse. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Beg to Unlock

Genesis is
Thump into his playroom
Lock!
Open door knob
Closing the door
Carrying own toys out

Again
Thump into his playroom
Lock!
Open door knob
But press lock from inside
Before
Closing the door
Carrying own toys out

Third round
Thump into his playroom
But . . . But . . .
The door won’t open
Dash to his grandma
Begging her solution
Pulling out her bunch of keys
Identify the key to insert into keyhole
Playroom door is unlocked
He gratefully thank her

This event occurred in the afternoon while I was attending an event to hone my media skills. My helper then my mother reported this to me in the night. Such a funny thing my three years toddler did such a thing.

Locked Melvin

Soft and gentle footsteps
Yawns at the sight
At the sight of dark storeroom.
Climbing up to two boxes
It lays on the top box and
It closes its eyes dozily.
The door closes creakily.
But it doesn’t disturb it.

Few hours have passed
It wakes up
Climbs down
Jumping
Jumping hastily
As it controls its bladder.
Wailing
A SHARP WAILING!!
A WAILING MEOW!!

The door opens swiftly
Too late,
Too late.
It’s too late.
It is sitting on
A pool of urine
With a painful look.
With a relieved look.
Poor Melvin.

Everyone is alerted.
Everyone pities him.
One hugs and caresses him.
One wipes and mops its urine.
Poor Melvin.
Poor Melvin.

This is the third series about my stray pet ‘Melvin’ who is mentioned in my previous poetry. This time it is mentioned in the cat’s point of view. This case happened when nobody knew that Melvin came and entered the storeroom. Normally, we closed the storeroom’s door to prevent cockroaches and rats from making its nest.
