See My Future In The Mirror

Who do I see?
I see her gentleness
I see her love and care towards
Those who are doing
Labour work

Who do I see?
I see her encouragement
I see her well treatment and motivations towards
Those who are doing
Labour work

Who do I see?
I see a strong leader who work hard
I see a strong leader who cares the safety of
Those who are doing
Labour work

Who do I see?
I see a strong leader who spreads herself thin
I see a strong leader who is physically weak
Thus often fall sick
Need recuperation

A compassionate strong leader
Who needs to care own physical strength
Expression of admiration and gratitude to my Lord and Saviour
Deepen my walk in the Lord

At night, YY (the finance department leader who employs me as a part-time admin) comes into my mind. Her personality attracts me. Her gentleness and caring towards the employee. Her actions speaks a lot about her being a strong Christian though she has a weak body. She has a lot of unseen documents to clear. It’s like seeing myself in the future. So I confide to my business mentor, “YY has a lot of unseen documents to clear. I never expect that. Come to think of it. This helps me reflect on myself. I have been stretching myself too thin.” Her reply is only word, “FOCUS”. My response is, “Oh yes. Focus. No wonder I make a lot of mess with too many commitments and tasks. May we continually pray for each other.” She responds, “Certainly.” No wonder my mental and physical are affected badly due to being overworked and pressed from many sides. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Roll Rectangular Mirror

Beautifully designed office coat
Enraptured my brain
Enter the boutique
With the whole family

Holding the bottom of an elongated rectangular mirror
Rolling it with singing tunes
Play with the different angles of my image

Rolling elongated rectangular mirror upwards
Singing “Up to the moon”
Rolling elongated rectangular mirror downwards
Singing “Down from the moon”
I am trying on pink coat

Rolling elongated rectangular mirror upwards
Singing “Up to the moon”
Rolling elongated rectangular mirror downwards
Singing “Down from the moon”
I am trying on blue coat

Lost his grip of the mirror
Losing balance
His body rolls downwards
He falls onto his butt

While I bring my son to the toilet, I pass by a boutique. The displays show beautiful office coat. After dinner, the whole family go to the toilet again. So I grab the opportunity to try on the different colours of coats. Then I ask my son’s and helper’s honest feedback. While I am trying on the clothes, my son plays on the elongated rectangular mirror I am using. I enjoy listening to my son’s singing tune. “Up to the moon. Down to the moon.” So I just correct the grammar error he makes. Hope you enjoy his funny actions. My helper and I burst to laughter. However, my husband scolds him for being naughty. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Mobile Phone Camera

Facing camera lens of mobile phone
Fingers brush over golden dyed hair
Tidying his hairstyle
To look cool and presentable

Mirror is frozen at home
As mirror sleeps waiting
The return of its owner
Lonely of its master’s touch

Old things are cast aside and discarded
New stuff constantly goes along
Until it fades into old and rusty
With another new one replaces its current status

A man was sitting beside me looking at himself using his iPhone camera lens as mirror to tidy his hair. This intrigues me to write poetry then second stanza enters my imagination with third stanza is my conclusion.
