Cat, Dog & Baby Mouse

Cat
Waits at the mouse’s hole
Waiting to play with the mouse
Makes fun of the mouse
Poke and itch the mouse
Laughter covers the room
Shouts of help fill the house
Cat laughs at baby mouse’s demise

Dog
Labours the baby mouse
Smells the baby mouse
Cares the baby mouse
Plays with baby mouse
Laughter fills the house
Disciplines baby mouse
Guard baby mouse’s wrong actions
Learning as backbone mother

Mouse
Cute ears pop out
Makes fun of cat
Pokes and itch the cat
With a mischievous smile
Pulls the cat’s hairy legs as the cat changes clothing
Runs around the house
Jumps around the house
Taking off clothing to shower
Showing his sexy naked body with a pose
Misbehaviour turns to obedience once dog appears

The cat refers to my husband, dog refers to me, and baby mouse refers to my son. Influenced with the Tom & Jerry cartoon shown by his dad, he keeps on saying he is the mouse, his dad is the cat and I am the dog. Normally, his dad and I notice his cute pop out ears like a mouse’s ears. So I summed up everyone’s perspectives in this poetry. Thanks for reading my poetry and hope you all enjoy this.

Grandma’s Pyjama

Mischievous and swiftly runs into grandma’s room
Noticing the opening of upper pyjama
Head slips into grandma’s pyjama
Then
Head slips out of grandma’s pyjama
Laughingly comment
The mole at her chest
They laugh together

This was the most embarrassing situation and too late for me to intervene. My helper reported me about this. My forty months son confessed to me this incident. All I can do was to speak to him to stop such action. Thanks for reading my poetry and hope you all enjoy this.

Beg to Unlock

Genesis is
Thump into his playroom
Lock!
Open door knob
Closing the door
Carrying own toys out

Again
Thump into his playroom
Lock!
Open door knob
But press lock from inside
Before
Closing the door
Carrying own toys out

Third round
Thump into his playroom
But . . . But . . .
The door won’t open
Dash to his grandma
Begging her solution
Pulling out her bunch of keys
Identify the key to insert into keyhole
Playroom door is unlocked
He gratefully thank her

This event occurred in the afternoon while I was attending an event to hone my media skills. My helper then my mother reported this to me in the night. Such a funny thing my three years toddler did such a thing.

Bark to Silence

Woof! Woof!
Woof! Woof!
Turning head
Eyes scan through
Woof! Woof!
Woof! Woof!
Ears detect barking dog
In a unit amongst the block
Woof! Woof!
Woof! Woof!
Silence

Where? Where?
Where is the dog?
It barks
Do not disturb
My sleep

While my son, husband, and I walked home, we passed by a block. Suddenly, a mini dog’s bark was heard nearby. My son was searching the dog, but it stopped barking. As if the dog fell asleep so I explained to him that probably the dog informed not to disturb its sleep.

Translucent Shadow Dance

A translucent colourful shadows dancing in the dark television
Swaying palms
Moving legs
Moving pelvic
Rolling hands
Rolling wrists
Waving hands
Bending elbows
Pointing upwards
Pulling one hand upward.
Repeating the same actions
By

Following
In accordance to
The rhythm of playing music.

My toddler was dancing according to the rhythm of the playing music from CD player. Then he was fascinated with his shadow at the black television.

Striking A Pose

Bending his right leg to the left
Resting upon his left leg
Head leans to the left then
Rests at his left palm.
Look like a boss!
Looking COOL!

Two hands open like a V-shaped
Two legs open like a pair of frog legs
Peaceful sleeping face on cot.
Look like a champion frog!
Looking FUNNY!

Upped and wrinkled eyebrows,
Eyebrows look sad
Asking why.
Looking pitiful.

Lowered and wrinkled eyebrows,
Furious eyebrows
Just an act;
Looking angry.

Raising eyebrows
Eyes are larger
Requesting food or toys.
Acting cute!
Looking CUTE!

Sometimes my toddler did these kind of poses. My dad and my brother love to position his hands and legs to make him look like a boss, and even look cool.

Cycle

As I observe this world
There is all type of cycle

Cycle of life
From infanthood
to childhood
to teen-hood
to adulthood
to old age
Then return to ashes

Cycle of time
12 o’clock morning to
12 o’clock afternoon
Then back to 12 o’clock morning again

Cycle of days and weeks
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Then back to Monday again

Cycle of months in a year
January
February
March
April
May
June
July
August
September
October
November
December
Then back to January again

The word, “cycle” inspires my observation about the world. This reminded me of Solomon wrote in the book of Ecclesiastes chapter 1 verse 8 to 10.
