Budding Idea

Budding idea sprouts
Growth disrupted
Greedy hearts and minds
Plucked out of its root
For their self-interests
For their own goals
Justifying their motives and actions with
Honey like words
Refusing to pay their dues

The news of ideas being stolen is heartbreaking especially the artists’ life. Though the form of drawings can be protected by law, the idea can easily be stolen. Such respect for the idea generator is not given. Therefore, I likened it to a budding flower Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Little Explorer

Running around
Jumping around
Climbing doors
Climbing chairs
Climbing drawers
Climbing window grills
Peeling stickers out of toys
Peeling any peel-able stuffs
Plucking out Barbie heads
Dismantling plastic chairs

Turn chairs upside down into a slide
Turn oven knobs until it plucks out
Stamping cute stamps onto bed head
Scratching hair and body
Turning the house into a playground

But
Pats me when I’m sick
Share his biscuits with everyone he loves
Caring those who care him
Caring towards younger babies

Even though my 39 months toddler is exploring and meddling around the house, he is a caring and hardworking baby.

Midnight Hunger

Restless on bed
Growls
He requests for more
More milk

Scoop the milk powder
Drop it into milk bottle
Close it tightly
Shake! Shake!
Dissolving milk powder with water
Suddenly
Creak!
Bam!

My head stuck out of kitchen door
Nobody is there
Who?
My son?

Carry the milk bottle
Plucking the nipple into his
Hungry mouth
Interrogate who plays door
Nod nod
Confess during
Glug glug
Drinking his milk hungrily
Replying his impatience

Finish drinking milk
Letting go the milk bottle to me
Droopy eyes
Drink water and
Dozes off to dreamland

My toddler requested to have another round of milk because his stomach growled. While I was shaking the milk bottle, suddenly my room door creak and bam. Sticking my head out, nobody was there. Upon entering my room and plucking the milk bottle to him, I gently asked him the one who opened and closed the door. Nodding while drinking his milk, he confessed. Huh? I do wonder the reason for him doing so. Probing it to know he was being impatient. After his milk, he dozed off easily.

An Energetic Toddler

His howling is noisy
His touching is nosey

Concern is his joy
Furry is his toy

Soft hair is fluffy
Soft toy is stuffy

Pluck out his dad’s beard
Tuck in beard to his chin

A toddler full of energy
An energetic toddler
Such an energetic toddler.

Though my son enjoys touching safe and even dangerous objects, he is a loving and adorable baby boy to me. My son talks a lot and tends to howl, but he loves soft toy besides of car and balls. My husband and I often felt tired with our son due to his high energy level. I need to step in to tell him to prepare to sleep or else he runs around rampantly and continually laugh loudly.

Pluck & Stick

Pluck, pluck, pluck.
Plucking trimmed moustache.
Envisioning to stick it upon himself.

Pluck, pluck, pluck.
Plucking trimmed beard.
Envisioning to stick it upon himself.

Pluck, stick.
Pluck and stick repetitively.
Pluck, stick.
Pluck and stick continuously.
Pluck, stick.
Pluck and stick endlessly.

As my husband and I were going back with our son, he plucked his dad’s moustache and beard. Afterward, he is trying to plant it onto his own jaw.

21 Months Old Toddler

Jump onto the chairs
Removing curious stuffs on table.
Pulling cables
Playing the fans buttons
Pressing remote controls
Running to the kitchen
Pulling utensils out of the cupboard
Imagining cooking
Imitating people cook

Pluck out the cube blocks
Pluck in the cube blocks

Banging toys onto the floor
Wow, the loud sound.

Wriggling on the floor
Shouting to go out
Wanting to observe more

Pulling the petals of flowers
Catch a butterfly
See its smallness and beauty
Then let it go

Chasing a bird
Chasing a cat
Chasing a dog
Touching rabbit
Pulling the tails
Stomping onto ants
Scared by the cockroach
Disgusted by the hairy legs

All is done because I’m curious
SPANK
But I’m spanked by my parents
for not listening.

Throughout accompanying my 21 months old toddler, the above inspiration came as I try to understand him by putting myself in his shoes. “Pulling the tails” is an addition because I feel that one day my cute baby will do so.
