The dictionary defines spring
1. To rise, leap, move, or act suddenly and swiftly, as by a sudden dart or thrust forward or outward, or being suddenly released from a coiled or constrained position
2. To be released from a constrained position, as by resilient or elastic force or from the action of a spring
3. To issue forth suddenly, as water, blood, sparks, fire, etc
4. To come into being, rise, or arise within a short time
5. To come into being by growth, as from a seed or germ, bulb, root.

First paragraph is to describe spring season whereas the second is to describe the spring object.

PULL and PULL!

Pull! Pull!
Attempting to
Pull out the stuck paper
Paper is stuck in the printer
In the printer’s feeding roll.
Pull! Pull!
To no avail!
Pull! Pull!
To no avail!

Seek my husband
Who reaches home from work.
Minutes pass by
He calls me
He instructs me
He guides me
To
The printer location
To
Remove the stuck paper.
Pull! Pull!
Successfully.

I feel foolish
I feel ashamed
For my panic
Causing me
Can’t think
Anymore.
This incident
Plays repeatingly
In my mind
I feel foolish repeatingly
I feel ashamed repeatingly
Of my panic mind
Of my panic mind . . .

I bought 250gsm paper and attempting to print my name card. At first, the printer refused to feed it so I called the printer’s brand model. The staff checked that the model laser printer can’t accept more than 163gsm paper. Then I bought 154gsm paper. The printer also refuses to feed it. After thrice attempts, the paper was feed in and stuck halfway. The rest incidents were explained and expressed at the above poetry.

21 Months Old Toddler

Jump onto the chairs
Removing curious stuffs on table.
Pulling cables
Playing the fans buttons
Pressing remote controls
Running to the kitchen
Pulling utensils out of the cupboard
Imagining cooking
Imitating people cook

Pluck out the cube blocks
Pluck in the cube blocks

Banging toys onto the floor
Wow, the loud sound.

Wriggling on the floor
Shouting to go out
Wanting to observe more

Pulling the petals of flowers
Catch a butterfly
See its smallness and beauty
Then let it go

Chasing a bird
Chasing a cat
Chasing a dog
Touching rabbit
Pulling the tails
Stomping onto ants
Scared by the cockroach
Disgusted by the hairy legs

All is done because I’m curious
SPANK
But I’m spanked by my parents
for not listening.

Throughout accompanying my 21 months old toddler, the above inspiration came as I try to understand him by putting myself in his shoes. “Pulling the tails” is an addition because I feel that one day my cute baby will do so.
