Slip Trip

I slip
I trip

Avoiding splashes from running vehicles
Lightning flashes bomb me with fear

Paralyze my movement
Tantalize my breathing speed

Mind blanks out
Find heartbeat escalate

See the bus shelter
Bee hides under it

Rushing towards my destination
Dashing pass the trees

Almost fall into the drain
Within one feet distance
Rubber shoes stop me
Straining toes heavily to the ground

The black yellow bee seems grinning
Upheaval embarrassment is blushing my face

And the bus comes waving goodbye to the bee
As the bee slips its tiny feet against the wet pole
Knocks and trips onto the wet ground

Inspiration On: Wednesday, 18 December 2013 from 7:25pm to 8:26pm

It was raining heavily and observing the raindrops on the road. Afraid of tripping myself, I walked slowly towards the bus stop. This experience births out the rhyming words, let my imagination runs wild and playing with English words in my vocabulary memory.

Birds Seek Shelter

Cloudy grey sky drizzles gently
The five birds are on a flight
In a search for shelter

Inspiration On: Thursday, 23 May 2013 at 6:40pm to 7:15pm

It was evening for me to go for a little exercise. Drizzling caught me and I was attracted to the flying birds’ chirp in the sky. Therefore, it began with, “birds on a flight”. Upon reaching home, the other surroundings are captured in words.

Beat Bad Weather

Sharp scolding
Loud howling
Scolding the rain
Howling the rain
To halt
Because they
Postpone his outing
Disrupt his outing

Kick towards the thunder
Kick towards the lightning
Kick towards the rain
Punch! Punch!
Kick! Kick!
Punch! Punch!
Kick! Kick!
Against
The bad weather.

My son was unhappy because thunder and rain postponed his outing. Though he was impatient, this may teach him about patience. Unexpectedly, his reactions became the source of my inspiration. First paragraph is told from my perspective, but second paragraph is told from his perspective when he commented he kick against the thunder. Definitely, he was unhappy and vented his anger towards the bad weather. All I told him was to wait.

Fuzzy Weather

Hot weather
Irritating to go outside
Scorching to the skin
Use umbrella to prevent from scorching
But good for drying clothes

Cold weather
Irritating to go outside
Falling raindrops to body
Use umbrella to prevent from getting wet
But cooling at home

Which one seems best?
Hmm…
Fuzzy answer.

Which one seems awful?
Hmm…
Fuzzy answer.

While doing the dishes, the above visual inspiration came to my mind. My toddler vomited due to continuous cough thereby dirtying his mattress. Practically, I was worried about tomorrow’s weather. Hoping it will be hot in order to dry his cleaned mattress.

Graph

Weather is like a graph
When it is extremely hot, then it is going to rain
After rain has ended, sense of freshness creeps in
Next, it returns to hot
And the cycle continues . . .

Emotion is like a graph
From joy to gladness
From gladness to depression
From depression to joy again
And the cycle continues . . .

Season change within a year
During Summer, anticipate Autumn
During Autumn, anticipate Spring
During Spring, anticipate Winter
During Winter, anticipate Summer
And the cycle continues . . .

All liken to
Acceleration then to
Deceleration and
Again to acceleration then to
Deceleration and
Return to acceleration.
Like a landscape full of
Mountains and valleys.

When I liken my baby’s mood to weather, the above inspiration was birthed out. Next day, season inspiration came and following day is acceleration, deceleration, mountain and valley.
