Eat Vegetable

Good
Essential for health
Best to eat

Grab a bite
Yucks!
Bitter!
But . . .
Forcing myself
To gulp vegetables
On my plate

Day by day
Year by year
Live with such taste
But . . .
At my twelfth year
My tongue doesn’t taste
Bitter vegetables

The fresh leafs of vegetables
Reaps delicious taste
Rich feelings of enjoyment
Crushing vegetables with my teeth
Tasting every pieces of it passing by my tongue
Before entering the throat

Upon interacting with Y Prior, Be With Us, Sharmishtha Basu and Toni Andruikitas about their vegetables consumption experiences (at my Body & Stomach Needs poetry), it struck me to tap upon my younger age experiences in vegetables.  It is a memorable event. Thanks to them for bringing out my memories. Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Looking For

The minute I left the room
Tap tap tap
Here comes the toddler
Like a magnet
Like a glue
Needing me to accompany him
To brush teeth
To play
To sleep

Knocking grandma’s room
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Knocking bathroom door
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Knocking my room
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”
Peeking into the kitchen
Looking for “Mama, mama”
Looking for “Mummy, mummy”

Tap tap tap
Here comes the toddler
Like a magnet
Like a glue
Needing me to accompany him
To brush teeth
To play
To sleep

It has been a month for my 39 months toddler sticks like a glue to me to accompany him in everything he does. Therefore, such experience births this poetry and I missed my friends and wordpress friends.

Whenever I am binding books, my thirty nine months son delights to observe my doings. First time, he named the binding ring as teeth. Accepting his naming convention, I’m inspired of journal this. Thanks for my ministry team to photograph and design this.

To Scare To Brush Teeth

Looking desperately,
Searching desperately
From the Internet
For
Children pictures
Losing teeth.
Wanting
Wanting to scare
My toddler
To brush his teeth.

Saving image
Printing image
Showing image to him.
Laughingly
He wants to lose his teeth.

Only with my husband
He explains
He reasons
Nothing wrong for
Our toddler happily to lose his teeth.
Oh!
I want to faint!
Oh!
I laugh!
Laugh funnily at my stupid mistake.
A stupid mistake,
A stupid mistake
Such a stupid mistake!
To choose pictures with
Laughing children
Without teeth.

Laughing children
Without teeth
Is liken to
A cute lion to scare.
Is it scary?
My husband’s queries me.

Both of us
Laugh
And
Laugh
At my stupid mistake.

The reason I want to scare my toddler is to make him to want to brush his teeth. I have been having a hard time to make him to brush his teeth.

After The End Of The Day

After the mid of the day
The sun wave goodbye
The moon takes over.

After the end of the day
The tidied table turns into
Messy table.
A table filled with toys.

After the end of the day
The neat floor turns into
Messy floor.
Floor covered with torn papers and toys.

After the end of the day
He needs to tidy his toys;
He needs to throw papers to recycle bin;
He brushes his teeth;
He changes to pyjamas;
He travels to a dream world
With a smile during sleep.
