Aimless Walk

Walking aimlessly
Seeking a destination
A solace space
To pour
Every scattered ideas floating in my mind

It is great to write and publish own creativities into wordpress. It feels great. However, I feel dampened from inside. I walk into the kitchen to eat fruits. Then I return to the computer. Only to be misunderstood by my mother who nags at me. “Stop looking at the computer for too long!” Of course, I feel so upset to always being misunderstood. When I walk into the kitchen, she doesn’t see it. Why do people tend to judge on what they see instead of finding out the whole matter?

Wish you all have good days and thank you.

Sleep Walking

T-shirt pulls upwards with wrinkles
Scratching all over body without tuck in
Causing wind enters into stomach

Stomach pain due to wind
Dances all over the stomach wall happily
Unless fart to eliminate pain

My dear 45 months toddler was sleeping, but he still could feel itchy and scratch himself. It was a very surprising discovery. Unconsciously, we still feel itchy during sleep even hot and cold. I am still questioning why my toddler feels itchy at night? Wish you all have good days and thank you.

To and Fro

During 20th century
Walk to and fro
To and fro
The whole house
Climbing up and down the stairs
Looking for
Up and down
Questioning for
A bunch of keys
And
A pair of spectacle.

Entering 21st century
Walk to and fro
To and fro
The whole house
Turning left and right
Looking for
Right and left
Questioning for
A bunch of keys
A pair of spectacle
And
A mobile phone.

What’s more in 22nd century?
Do we forget more?

Living in a vast land, most houses are landed houses. Living in a small country, most land is filled with high rise houses. My mother is a funny example who often looks for her keys and spectacle. Olden days, we didn’t know and nobody used mobile phone. Now, she uses mobile phone so it is in one of her search list. Then I also reflected upon it that it does happen to me and maybe everyone.

Pulled by Dog & Toddler

Walk the dog with the dog lace
Enjoying the windy breeze on a park
Passing by a lane
A kitten appears
Appear to poke fun of the dog
Fuming with anger
The dog chases it
It runs and runs
The dog’s master is pulled
Pulled by the
The huge hairy police dog!

Running after
Chasing after
His dad
I’m pulled by him
Him who is
Running after
Chasing after
His dad!

Startling Moment

A speeding bicycle passes by
Very close to him
Whole body suddenly trembles
Heart missed a beat
Swiftly hugs me
Hug him back
Comforting
And
Continue
Our walk home.

As my husband, my son and I were on our way home, a cyclist passed by swiftly. It was a startling moment for my toddler because the bicycle passed by close to him. Poor baby boy. The events were expressed in poetry as stated above. Even I was shocked also.

Stern & Wary Look

Snatch!
Snatching something from a pocket!
A lollipop in his right palm.
Dad guffaws
Toddler whimpers with hands on air
Dad returns lollipop
Toddler swiftly drop it
Into his pocket.

Sticking in his right palm
Into his pocket
Stern look
Wary look
To guard
His precious lollipop
As he holds his dad’s big palm with his left palm.

Sticking in his right palm
Into his pocket
Stern look
Wary look
Guarding his precious lollipop
Throughout our journey home
Throughout the journey paths
As we walk home.

In the mall, my husband bought our son two lollipops after our dinner. My toddler gave one lollipop to me then he kept the last one to himself. His dad asked him for his portion. My son asked back the lollipop from me. But his dad didn’t want and chose to pick his portion. He made fun of our son causing him to whimper wanting his lollipop back. The second circumstance occurred until we reached home.

Intro Melvin

A furry body lengthens
A furry body thins
As it passes through the gate
With a beautiful and graceful walk.

Eyeing an opened window
It jumps into it
Scratching the trash bag
Screeching the trash bag
With its sharp teeth
With its sharp paws
Searching hungrily for food.

Once the kitchen door opens,
It is alerted and
Jumps out of the window
With stolen food at its mouth.

It is . . .
Melvin!
A black and white furry cat.
A hungry stray cat.
Let’s welcome him.
My stray pet.
A cute pet.

Think of a pet, I only own a chick. The above mentioned stray cat was my stray pet, which stole food from my family’s trash bag. That was how my family got to know him. Gradually, we feed him cat food and it stopped stealing. After it finished the food, we play together happily. We named it ‘Melvin’. This happened eight years ago during our stay in my uncle’s house.

Similarity Between Baby & Dog

Bring baby out
Is akin to
Bring dog out

Walk the baby
Is akin to
Walk the dog

Head turns left
Head turns right
Searching for greenery
Beside is grass
Brisk on grass

Stomping onto grass
Toddler will laugh
Dog will pee
Dog will poo

The cycle continues
Morning, evening, night
A daily routine
A daily schedule.

I was watching the animation “Dalmatians 101” where the opening scene of the dog looking for its master’s attention to go out and its head turn left and right continuously. Those reminded me of bringing out my twenty-six months toddler who often request for a walk.

Spinning

Suddenly the world seems spinning
Spinning to the point of
My body lose its balance
Balance of stand still
Balance to walk
Then I realize
My head is spinning
My mind immediately goes blank
Quickly, I held the table in front of me
Closing my eyes

A few seconds later
Everything returns to normal

The first sentence came when I felt giddy at the food court. All I can do is to quickly find something to hold on to. Thank God for the wisdom what to do. So I immediately take sweet according to what my mother ever told me what I should do if there is a sudden dizzy.
